Dental Services
Advanced Cosmetic Dentistry
A beautiful smile begins with a thorough assessment of your current dental health. During our advanced dentistry service, we will evaluate not only the teeth but the surrounding gum tissue and supporting bone. A complete oral cancer screening is offered to all of our patients at least once per year. We feel that knowledge is powerful, and we want you to be fully informed about your dental health. We offer many screening services in our Charlotte office not typically offered in regular dental offices. Our goal is to help provide you with current information and help you determine the very best course of action for you.
Relax … you’re in a professional and friendly environment that is designed entirely with your comfort in mind. Our guests often say that our Charlotte office is more reminiscent to a spa with our paraffin hand treatments, massage chairs, luxurious chenille blankets, and memory foam pillows. We’re here to help all of our patients obtain and maintain their smiles. Our role is to work with you to undertake the course of treatment you feel is right for you. We believe we have an obligation to inform you of what we find and help you understand any treatment options that are available.
With that knowledge in mind, Dr. Patrick Broome and his cosmetic dentistry team can help you maintain your total dental health with state-of-the-art dental hygiene visits. We know your time is valuable, so we utilize technology that helps us work faster and helps you complete treatments quicker! Technology such as digital caries detection, digital x-rays, digital impression technology, and digital bite analysis for those who need detailed care, are just a few of the many advancements that increase your comfort, decrease your treatment time and ensure quality results for every patient. Top Quality Cosmetic Dentistry
Thanks to modern technology, almost anyone can have a healthy, stunning smile. Dr. Broome possesses the training and tools needed to provide the most advanced cosmetic dental treatments in the world and a wide variety of smile solutions, including:
Teeth Whitening
Discoloration of the teeth is one of the most common cosmetic problems. Fortunately, it is also one of the easiest to treat due to the advancements in tooth whitening technology. Zoom!® Teeth Whitening has proven to be one of the most popular teeth whitening systems at our Charlotte practice. The process is simple, effective and safe, and takes around an hour to complete.
Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers can correct a wide variety of common aesthetic problems including discolored, chipped, or misaligned teeth.
Instant Orthodontics
Using a combination of dental crowns, implants, porcelain veneers and laser dentistry, we can make almost any smile appear beautifully even and straight in minutes instead of months.
Invisalign
Invisalign is a great option for many adults and teens who may be self-conscious about their smiles but are not willing to wear the traditional shiny metal brackets and wires. The custom plastic aligners are typically only worn for 1-2 weeks, depending on the patient, during each stage of the Invisalign process for faster tooth movements and results.
Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is a quick, easy solution for small cracks or chips, faint stains, or subtle misalignment of teeth.
Laser Dentistry
We utilize the BIOLASE Waterlase® iPlus, one of the most sophisticated laser dentistry systems available in dentistry for a wide range of procedures that would typically require drills and blades. Thanks to laser dentistry, our Charlotte office can complete procedures quickly and effectively.
Total Smile Makeover
At Charlotte Center for Cosmetic Dentistry, we use a combination of treatments, including Zoom!® or other teeth whitening products, porcelain veneers, Invisalign®, laser dentistry, bonding, and more to create the beautiful smile you desire and deserve.
Restorative and Implant Dentistry
Restorative and implant dentistry is known for helping patients achieve incredible, natural-looking results. Utilizing a comprehensive approach for beautiful and effective repair, Dr. Broome and our Charlotte team offers restorative and implant dentistry to correct worn, damaged, misaligned and missing teeth. Our state-of-the-art procedures include:
Dental Implants
We offer these strong decay proof root replacement options for our patients that seek natural looking results and want a means of restoring both form and function for patients who are missing one or more teeth. To learn more about dental implants, visit ncbi.nlm.nih.gov
Dental Crowns
When a tooth has sustained significant wear but still maintains a strong and stable root, placing a porcelain crown is an effective way to restore structure and appearance.
Dental Bridges
Made of natural-looking porcelain, a bridge fills the gap caused by a missing tooth with an artificial tooth that is attached on either side to a crown.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
Made from durable composite resins, tooth-colored fillings provide all the functional aspects of traditional fillings but look and feel just like the enamel of your natural teeth.
Inlays and Onlays
These small porcelain pieces fit inside the tooth like puzzle pieces to replace damaged or missing tooth structure.
ICON
A micro-invasive dental treatment that stops early tooth decay by sealing the pores of the teeth, preventing the future need for tooth drilling.
Full-Mouth Rejuvenation
We utilize a combination of cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry techniques to help you achieve the smile you want through a full-mouth rejuvenation.
T-Scan
We use a cutting edge method for bite analysis to best decide on how to go forward with multiple cosmetic dentistry treatments. The T-scan system allows a dentist to determine future care.
MI-Paste
This minimally-invasive treatment does not require any drilling. Using calcium and phosphate, this paste will help reverse the effects of acid damage if treated at an early stage.
Digital Dentistry - Integrated Digital Workflow
At Charlotte Center for Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Broome and his team are proud to be on the forefront of the digital dentistry revolution. Digital imaging technology has now advanced to the point that dental restorations and appliances can be vastly superior when information if captured via a digital method. Today, analog dentistry is becoming increasingly outdated, and more and more aspects of cosmetic dentistry are being digitized. What does this mean for you? It means better planning, fewer complications, as well as faster and better results. By utilizing intra-oral high-definition video capture as well as 3D extra-oral imaging the entire concept of Digital Dental Workflow has become a reality. Physical impressions, physical models, and snail mail shipping of records to dental labs is a thing of the past. Digital records can now be obtained in minutes, and case planning can start immediately using Computer Aided Design (CAD). Restorations/appliances can be milled or 3D printed in minutes instead of hours or days. Experience the revolution of Digital Dentistry for yourself in the relaxing, spa-like atmosphere of our Charlotte office.
Digital Impressions - (CEREC Omnicam)
A revolutionary high definition live video streaming capture acquisition unit allows Dr. Broome and his talented team to utilize powerful CAD/CAM (computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacture) technology in our Charlotte dental office to perform tasks such as digital impressions, same day restorations, custom implant abutments, and other services (Invisalign, night guards, sleep apnea appliances) in a more precise, faster and time-saving manner for you.
Digital Orthodontics - (CEREC Omnicam)
Digital impressions allow a high definition movie to be recorded of your teeth instead of a physical mold. This eliminates the mess and gagging that many patients dread. Today with digital impressions, the movie of your teeth is sent via the Internet to Invisalign, Clear Correct, or any other laboratory that accepts digital scans. The speed and accuracy of our digital scans combined with the ability to seamlessly transfer digital data to our external service providers mean that our patients will get a faster start to a straighter smile.
In-Office Milling Unit
We are proud to have the latest Sirona Practice Lab MCXL in-office milling unit that can manufacture a wide array of dental restorations and appliances such as a ceramic crown, bridge, implant abutments, as well as surgical guides. This machine can utilize a variety of advanced materials, such as lithium disilicate (eMax), zirconium, porcelain, composite, metal, wax, and more. We are also able to fully customize any porcelain restorations with our own in-office porcelain oven, which greatly reduces the need to send your restoration out to another facility.
Sirona Galileos Comfort Plus Digital 3D Cone Beam CT
This technology captures every detail of your teeth, upper jaw and lower jaw, along with the TMJ. A 3D model is created and Dr. Broome and his Charlotte team can use this enhanced imaging to diagnose and plan with much greater precision. Information that is impossible to see on a traditional 2D image is now clearly visible thanks to the added 3D perspective. This information can be used to plan surgical procedures, such as implant location and placement. This information allows procedures to be planned and practiced prior to the actual procedure. It allows for precise surgical guides to be digitally printed that communicate the aesthetic goals of Dr. Broome to the surgeon placing the implants. This eliminates mistakes, enhances precision, and improves results from advanced planning. This technology also helps patients understand risk and possible complications and make an informed decision about their treatment thanks to the Galileos imaging and Sidexis 4 software image analysis suite.
SICAT Air
This cutting-edge service is a part of our Galileos system. This software allows an analysis of the upper airway by utilizing 3D imaging information. This service is a screening tool that helps us detect potential signs of sleep apnea. We can use this option to quickly and efficiently detect potential areas of concern. If needed, we can then refer patients to a qualified sleep physician who will make the definitive diagnosis and prescribe treatment options. In the event that a patient is undergoing treatment for sleep apnea and uses a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device. Statistics show over 60% of patients that have a CPAP do not use it. Digital impressions using the CEREC Omnicam can be used to capture intra-oral data that can be used to fabricate a custom oral appliance that supports the patient’s lower jaw (mandible) thus opening the airway and allowing breathing to be easier.
Sedation Dentistry
Dental anxiety can stop people from receiving much-needed dental treatments or tooth care, which is why we offer sedation dentistry services for patients who suffer from dental anxiety or phobia.
