study done at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California found that people who whiten their teeth are more likely to have greater success at work and love. The University performed a 3 part study testing to see if whitening the participant’s teeth really made a difference.
In the first part of the study, participants took part in simulated job interviews. After the interviews, the participants had their
teeth whitened and then took part in simulated job interviews once again to see if there was any difference. The results showed that there was. After participants had whitened their teeth, more than half of them were more likely to be hired and also received higher salary offers. Many were also viewed as more professional and more confident.
In the second part of the study, these participants also went on simulated first dates before and after whitening their teeth. When they went on a first date after their teeth had been whitened, more than half of the evaluators wanted to continue their date and more than half of the participants were considered more outgoing.
The third and final part of the study was a survey of 1,006 people. This aspect of the survey found that people who had whiter teeth also had more success in finances, were considered trustworthy, and had more personal success. Their gender, age, income, education, employment or marital status didn’t change the outcome that people with whiter teeth were more successful in multiple areas in their lives.
